Remember to cherish your loved ones

This month's challenge at ScrapMojo is, "We would like you to use I'm a little bit _______ and a little bit ________....The 2ND part of the challenge is to use dots."

All I could think about is that I still feel so sad about Jersey dying, but I also feel so happy that Captain has come into our lives. But I am not just a little bit happy and sad; I am a lot happy and sad. So I changed it to, "I'm still sad, and I'm happy."

I planned on writing a long thing about Jersey, but it's still too soon, so the dots worked well to get a few memories down, and also were a good place to journal some highlights of Captain's first month with us before I forget them.

  1. I feel as though it might be appropriate to start singing some tunes from The Lion and Elton John. (You can change out lion for dog and cat or dog or cat.)

[MS:] Nants ingonyama bagithi baba [There comes a lion]

    Ingonyama
[MS:] Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]
    [BS:] Ingonyama
Ingonyama nengw' enamabaal [It's a lion and a tiger]

[FS:] From the day we arrive on the planet
And, blinking, step into the sun
There's more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
    But the sun rolling high
    Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round
    It's the Circle of Life
    And it moves us all
    Through despair and hope
    Through faith and love
    Till we find our place
    On the path unwinding
    In the Circle
    The Circle of Life
[FS:] It's The Circle of Life
    And it moves us all
    Through despair and hope
    Through faith and love
    Till we find our place
    On the path unwinding
    In the Circle
    The Circle of Life

  2. Oh look at that pussy cat. I am a pussy cat person through and through and very much miss owning one. I don't think I have cried so much or so easily (and you have to peel a lot of onions to make me cry - stiff upper lip and all that) as when my Wozzi (completely stupid but very beautiful Himalayan) and my Rambo (black hunter cat who performed extraordinary feats) died. You do scrap work so well....I have never tried but feel quite inclined...my daughter's 18th is coming up and I'm thinking that might be a good project. How did you start? Learn?
