I just discovered a new website called Child's Play Challenges. When I saw one of this month's challenges is to use The Very Hungry Caterpillar as inspiration I heard Nerd Nest say, "Finish that abandoned project!"
This scrapbook page about a field trip to the library has been almost completely done for a few years. In case you can't tell the Caterpillar is made from punched circles. All I had to do to finish was add the eyes, nose, feet, and antennae to the Caterpillar, and journal. It did not take me very long to complete it. Why did I wait so long?!
I also want to point out that this story is actually inaccurate. **SPOILER ALERT** It says the Caterpillar goes into a cocoon but any first grade teacher worth her salt knows that butterfly caterpillars use a chrysalis. 1 point for Public Education.
I put buttons over my kids pictures temporarily to protect them from internet predators. Although if there are people with button fetishes I have not done a very good job.

Thank you Nerd Nest and Child's Play Challenges for helping me finish my 8th abandoned project this year!
Nice layout glad you finally finished it
ReplyDeleteGlad you got it finished and it was the perfect challenge for you. LOL on the button fetish, I don't think there are too many of them other than the scrapbooker's.
