On Broadway

This month at From Screen 2 Scrap! the challenge is to use the movie poster from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn as your inspiration. As an additional challenge you can add trees, leaves, and a black and white photo.
All of those elements came together for me easily. Brooklyn made me think of our trip to NYC to see Spamalot with Amy and Tito 7 years ago. One of the funniest quotes was about shrubbery. And when I dug out my pictures I remembered that I had put in a roll of black and white film for that trip. Remember film?

All together:

Left page (photos by Amy except the one of the theatre. I looked it up on the internet and the photo I found even had Spamalot on the marquee!)
Right page (photos by me - I used the arrows to cover glare on the cardboard cutouts)
I had to make the shrubbery by taking apart 3 trees from Jolees.
The comedy/tragedy masks came from a barrette I used to wear all the time in junior high and high school. I popped them off and threw the barrette away a long time ago. Glad I saved them!
Great challenge to get those pictures scrapped!

P.S. I can't wait to read the book!

Monty Python & the Holy Grail is one of my favourite movies, & the 'Knights that go Neep' asking for a shrubbery one of my favourite clips, so I really 'got' this LO!! I'd love to see it on-stage as Spamalot!! Great work repurposing the trees & the barrette adornments! Love it all!! :D
