4th of July

The challenge at ARTastic this month is to use this painting, Butterflyfish by Carla Blackman as inspiration:
It reminded me of this patterned paper I had:
This must have been one of the first pieces of paper I bought for scrapbooking because it's been a challenge to figure out how to use it! Since it reminded me of the pool parties our friends throw I used the pictures I took with my Holga last 4th of July. The camera puts a vignette on the edges of the photos so I didn't want to crop them. I drew a few lines on the crab's shell for journaling.
